We want to make an impact every day. We do this not only with our ICT services, but also with initiatives for and by our people and social initiatives. On this page you can read what we do with each other and for each other.
Donations & discounts
Foundations
Every year we reserve a budget to donate our services to a foundation(s). All ANBI foundations receive a 15% discount on our SLA. As an ANBI foundation we also apply for a special Microsoft tenant, whereby the Microsoft licenses also become cheaper.
Charities
In addition, we also have a budget for donations to charities every year. We like to help charities in the area or causes suggested by our colleagues/partners.
Proud partner of the Jarige Job Foundation
IT Synergy is a partner of Stichting Jarige Job, a foundation that is committed to helping young people from poor families.
For many children in the Netherlands, a birthday is a celebration with presents, visits from family & friends and treating at school. Unfortunately, for more than 100,000 children in our country, this is a luxury they cannot afford. Stichting Jarige Job is committed to giving children from financially vulnerable families an unforgettable birthday.
They do this with the birthday box. This is a special box with decorations, treats for the class, treats for visitors and a beautiful gift. So that every child can enjoy his or her birthday.

*We provide our ICT services (SLA) to Stichting Jarige Job for 3 years free of charge.
Reduced ecological footprint at our data center
The servers we manage are (partly) housed in datacenter SmartDC. This datacenter is located next to our office in the Van Nelle Factory.
Data centers produce a lot of residual heat, because spaces with servers in these centers need to be cooled constantly. Thanks to brand new heat pumps, the residual heat that is released from this will be converted into energy to heat the Van Nelle Factory from January 2023.
Thanks to this innovation, 800,000 m3 of gas is saved in the Van Nelle Factory. The data center itself reduces its own ecological footprint by 13 percent.
This development is very important to us, because we want to work with local suppliers who actively look for sustainable solutions.
Own initiatives
- A good work-life balance with the option to work remotely
- A paperless office; because we do everything digitally anyway
- Every year the opportunity to participate in at least 15 sports activities (such as the mud run, a yoga class, a padel clinic, crossfit clinic or wipeout)
- Sponsoring colleagues when they play sports for charity or to support their association (whether it is sports or cultural)
- IT traineeships to retrain in ICT
- A safe workplace and guidance when you have just come out of social assistance or are at a disadvantage on the labor market
- Share knowledge and expertise with foundations, for example by developing a website for free

Sustainable hardware process
Inventory management
We have an extensive stock of all devices within our standard. This gives us the opportunity to realize fast delivery times on our entire catalog.
Installation
Installing and configuring hardware
Deliver
One of our IT hardware engineers will personally deliver the ICT hardware to you. When it comes to products such as printers, access points or switches, we will install them at your location.
Usage
When hardware reaches its recommended end-of-life date (maximum 5 years), we will collect and replace the hardware.
Pick up and replace
The hardware we collect, we give a second life. We do this in collaboration with CLN. This party takes our old hardware and reinstalls it completely. CLN delivers this to a charity designated by us.
Recycle
With the money we receive for the recycled hardware, we donate our services to foundations.
Charities in our telephone queue
We also have a great collaboration with Queup. When you call IT Synergy and get in the queue, you no longer hear that boring waiting tune, but a message.* A message from a charity of our choice. So that we can hopefully let you hear something nice about organizations that do good while you wait.
*Our queue will not be longer because of this. This is very important to us, because we speak to our users on the phone every day and do not want any delays.
Current projects
We still have a lot of steps to take to make our organization and services more sustainable. The following studies are currently underway:
- Sustainable fleet
- The best way to separate waste
- Sustainable suppliers and partners
- As an IT party, we work with new hardware for customers, partly for quality and security reasons. There is currently a study into the use of refurbished devices. Whether we can fully realize this, we do not yet know.
